Advocating for North Carolina's
Animals

Education. Research. Advocacy. Lasting change

Our Mission & Goals

The NC Animal Advocacy Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lasting, statewide improvements for companion animals through advocacy, education, collaboration, and legislative change.

While thousands of dedicated shelters, rescues, and volunteers work every day to save individual animals, we focus on addressing the systemic issues that place so many animals at risk in the first place. Our mission is to bring organizations, communities, professionals, and policymakers together to create practical, sustainable solutions that improve animal welfare across North Carolina.

Why Partner With Us

Data-Driven Solutions

We collect and analyze statewide data to understand overpopulation, shelter overcrowding, and euthanasia trends so solutions address root causes.

Policy & Legislation

We plan to focus on stronger companion animal welfare laws, responsible breeding standards, and policies that protect pets across North Carolina.

Collaboration & Community

We bring together shelters, rescues, veterinarians, and community members to advance humane, practical change for companion animals.
